I had the honor of designing and producing a stop-motion animation. The project aimed to create a short promotional piece that would both set the tone for the event and showcase a different kind of filmmaking artistry.
The animation was crafted using everyday materials and objects, which were carefully manipulated and photographed in a sequence of around 700 of still images. The tactile nature of stop-motion provides a warmth and personality that is perfect for a film festival setting. The story itself is designed to be a visual poem, hinting at the themes of discovery, imagination, and shared experience that define a festival. This animation is a tribute to the power of film in its most raw and imaginative form, and a reminder of the artistry that goes into every frame.
